    In Pursuit Of is looking for a War Room Associate to join its press team. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to monitor key issues in the media and identify and distribute breaking news as it happens. An ideal candidate will be passionate about free-market policy issues, thrive in a team environment, and demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and customer-focus.

    • Conduct regular monitoring of media (print and broadcast) and blog outlets on a variety of subjects and interest areas on the national and state levels. Topics include the U.S. economy, federal spending, healthcare, cronyism, corporate welfare, criminal justice reform and freedom of speech
    • Secure transcripts and clips of TV and radio broadcasts to share with the team
    • Produce and distribute breaking, morning, afternoon and daily news reports to highlight main findings and note potential areas for further interest for an audience of mostly internal stakeholders and decision-makers as well as some external entities


    • Professional experience with detail-oriented, customer-focused responsibilities preferred, but not required
    • Demonstrated interest in developing communications abilities and responsibilities
    • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Ability to take initiative, collaborate, and work independently while integrating a high degree of attention to detail and organization
    • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
    • Self-starter attitude and high sense of urgency
    • Familiarity with and commitment to free-market principles
