  • Overview

    The Seminar Network is currently seeking a Development Intern for the Direct Marketing department. This position will focus primarily on working with the Direct Marketing team to build relationships will small-sum donors over the phone and through the written word to help secure prospective donor meetings for fundraisers. The role will also entail a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the efficiency of the broader mail program.

    Responsibilities

    • Writing thank you and acknowledgment letters to $100, $250, $500, and $1,000 donors
    • Calling $100+ donors to thank and provide organizational updates related to network priorities
    • Properly track all interactions and actions items with donors in the TSN database
    • Assist with recurring administrative tasks and in-house mailers related to direct marketing
    • Take lead on relevant independent project as discussed with supervisor

    Qualifications

    • Natural in-person communication skills, ability to speak confidently and clearly to donors/staff over the phone and in-person
    • Proficient ability to convey impact and strategy to donors through writing, strong penmanship
    • A strong grasp on current political/policy events and organization initiatives to impact those events
    • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to perform administrative tasks
